Joyeux Noel

Only a few days until Christmas and I am actually excited about it this year. Christmas has come to symbolize a small tree in a small apartment, spending time with family and friends, ugly sweaters, Secret Santa, Adopt-a-Family drives, taking less fortunate kids to Old Navy to shop for presents, candy cane ice cream, Anthropology, egg nog, and of course Love Actually. This Holiday Season has already been filled with lots of great parties and great company...and we look forward to spending Christmas with Michelle's family in Washington.

This year we hosted our First Annual Ugly Sweater Party. Friends from our Ward came dressed in their finest "holiday treasures". I made my first batch of home made egg nog (yum) and Michelle made great red velvet cupcakes and woopie cookies.

The following weekend our good friends Martha and Brandon hosted a much more sophisticated holiday party at Ti Piacera in Nob Hill. We had so much fun getting dressed up to go out with friends (my first bow tie experience)! We were also so happy to receive a cable car ornament in the gift exchange...we had been looking for a great San Francisco ornament to remind us of our time in the city. We have been reminded multiple times of the great friends we have made in the last 18 months!
